(Pantelleria, Italy) / 190 Another perennial favourite, the old mysogynist’s Zibbibo from the incredibly windy volcanic island of Pantelleria off the south of Sicily, actually closer to Africa. Many buy it for the label, and it’s questionable whether you really drank it if you don’t post a shot on instagram, but it’s damn delicious,… Continue reading Gabrio Bini Serragghia Bianco 2014
(Campania, Italy) / 125 We’ve listed this recently, but it’s looking so good – Greco from Campania down on the ‘foot’ of Italy
(Veneto, Italy) / 67 Basically Soave, but Angiolino Maule doesn’t like the DOC, so this is declassified Gambellara. This guy is a cult producer in the Italian natural wine scene, he used to be a famous pizzaiolo (pizza maker) and then decided to make wine. Garganega from the foothills of Soave, no skin contact,… Continue reading La Biancara di Angiolino Maule Masieri 2015
(Sicily, Italy) / 100 You all know this, Grecanico and Carricante with a bit of Moscato from Salina thrown in for body. Has some spritz which goes away quite quickly, but that fizzing black soil minerality is the best part and the fizz helps to accentuate it.
(Tuscany, Italy) / 60 Cheap Italian white, Malvasia and Trebbiano from Chianti in Tuscany. Soft lemons, nuts and pith. An excellent cheese wine, although as with all italian wines no doubt goes with a wide variety of meats, seafoods and pastas

The grape is Chasselas, which the Germans call Gutedel, and the Swiss sometimes call Fendant (those… Continue reading Ziereisen Heugumber Chasselas 2015
(Burgundy, France) / 80 I think you all know this wine by now, amazing value Burgundy from the Côtes d’Auxerre in the extreme north of the region (but not quite in Chablis). Pure mineral, piercingly precise, much more like Chablis than Burgundy proper.
